MANILA -- James Yap once again took to social media to share a sweet moment with an unidentified Caucasian woman, a week after the star cager first aroused speculations about their relationship.
On his account on the image-sharing service Instagram, the 31-year-old basketball player on Friday posted a photo of him with a blonde woman inside what appears to be a restaurant (seen above).
Yap, who is reportedly still vacationing in Europe, is seen behind the "mystery girl" as they both smile posing for the camera. The image is simply captioned with a "smiley."
As of writing, the photo dubbed "sweet" by Yap's followers on Instagram, already has over 1,900 "likes" and more than 270 comments.
Commenting on the photo, some Internet users brought up the identity of the woman, while others asked whether she is officially in a relationship with the Filipino star cager. A handful of them asked Yap via Instagram if she is indeed Italian as rumored.
Yap earlier posted a photo showing him with a blonde woman, who appears to be the same person in his latest Instagram snapshot.
The San Mig Coffee player's going public with his apparent closeness with this "mystery girl" comes after a series of controversies involving him and his former wife, actress-host Kris Aquino, and their only child, James "Bimby" Yap, Jr.
Aquino and Yap were married in civil rites in July 2005. Their marriage was declared null in February last year, following allegations of infidelity on Yap's part.
The father no longer has custody of Bimby, but was recently allowed to resume visiting his son after a Makati court denied Aquino's appeal for a permanent protection order against him. (abs cbn news)
