Atty. Fortun is most known as a lawyer to Erap Estrada. In early 2008, Fortun’s name again gained media attention as the whistleblower to an alleged attempted coup plot against the Arroyo administration led by Homobono Adaza and some military personnel. The case also involved involved estafa and swindling charges.
In 2009, another headline making case he handled was the Antipolo golf brawl between businessman Delfin Dela Paz, for whom he served as legal counsel, and Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser C. Pangandaman.
Today, he is a high profile criminal lawyer to many celebrities including Kris Aquino, Katrina Legarda, Willie Revillame and Dr. Vicky Belo of the Belo Medical Group. Education
Atty. Fortun graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1988.
Atty. Fortun is the younger brother of Sigfrid Fortun, another Filipino high profile lawyer. He is married and has three children. In his spare time, he indulges in sports such as golf, table tennis, badminton and basketball. He is also musically inclined. His other current passion is photography. In 2008, he started doing wedding photography coverage as a pastime and creative outlet.
