Updates: M5.5 and M6.1 Powerful Earthquakes hit Central Italy anew on Wednwsday

Two powerful earthquakes shook central Italy causing damages and injuries on October 26, 2016. The country was hit by major quake last August where it killed 300 people and massive infrastractural damages.

The first quake has scale of magnitude 5.5 followed by M 6.1
wednesday evening.


Both temblors were centered near the town of Visso, Italy, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The second quake was given a preliminary 6.1 rating after it struck at 9:18 p.m. local time (3:18 p.m. EDT) at a depth of 6.2 miles. It was 3.2 kilometers (2 miles) north of Visso and 58 km (36 miles) from Perugia, the USGS reported
