According to Wikipedia, the 47-year-old lady is the 4th President of Croatia since February 19, 2015. She is the first woman to be elected as the President of the Republic.
Born on April 29, 1968, Kitarovic was a member of the conservative Croatian Democratic Union party from 1993 to 2015 and one of three Croatian members of the Trilateral Commission. She had to resign both positions when she assumed office as president.
From 2011 to 2014, she served as Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy at NATO, the first woman ever to be appointed to the position.
She was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia from 2005 to 2008 and Croatia's ambassador to the United States from 2008 to 2011.
