Capital city of the Philippines (Metro Manila) still experience heavy rains and floods as of Monday August 19, 2013.

Many parts of Metro Manila and nearby areas were flooded Monday amid southwest monsoon rains enhanced by tropical storm "Maring."

Malacanang has also ordered the suspension of classes and government work in areas affected by floods amid the heavy rains.

3:56 p.m. Bayan Patrollers from areas hit by floods share videos of raging waters, showing the extent of damage caused by enhanced monsoon rains.

3:52 p.m.: Residents in low-lying areas have been urged to remain alert against floods as Metro Manila remains under a yellow rainfall warning.
 3:21 p.m.: Floods have already subsided in some areas in Metro Manila, the Metropolitan MAnila Development Authority said.
2:41 p.m.: Authorities have urged preventive evacuation for residents near La Mesa Dam, which remains under red alert.
