Typhoon Domeng (Peipah) Status Update, Heavy Rain in Philippines

UPDATE April 7, 2014 - Typhoon Domeng (Peipah) continue to move forward to Mindanao and Visayas. According to PAG-ASA, typhoon Domeng will hit Surigao del Sur Thursday morning. All residents in coastal area are advised to take necessary precautions as typhoon Domeng will bring heavy rain. Typhoon Domeng maintains its strength with 65kph wind, 80kph gustness and moving west-northeast at 15kph.

Typhoon Domeng will hit Central Visayas (Cebu, Bohol etc) the following day.

Blue Alert raised for possible heavy rain
Under blue alert—where at least half of the personnel of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management council are to be at their posts at any time—are:
  • Caraga
  • Western Visayas
  • Central Visayas
  • Eastern Visayas
  • Northern Mindanao (Region 10)
  • Davao Region (Region 11)
  • Palawan in Region 4B (MIMAROPA)
