Aiai and Jed Salang wedding in Las Vegas

The groom cried and his smiling bride urged him on.

But the wedding of Ai Ai delas Alas and Jed Salang in  Las Vegas on April 3 was not all that sober.  It was punctuated with laughter and brimming with spontaneity.

Exclusive videos of the wedding aired on The Buzz on Sunday, April 14 showed Ai Ai and Jed  breaking into smiles at the part where the latter was pronouncing the long marriage vows.

“Nung humaba na, hindi ko na kinaya. Hindi ko na alam kunhg anong nangyayari,” Jed said. He  added that he was just looking at his wife.

The couple also had their own version of their wedding vows --  something that mirrored what they felt at the moment and which came straight from their heart.

Jed promised to be Ai Ai’s best friend and his clown. He recounted that he had a hard time composing his vows, but decided on starting from the time he saw her perform on stage.

Ai Ai, in simple  low-cut white dress, promised to always stay by Jed’s side, even if strays.

“Kung saan mo ko iiwanan don mo ko babalikan,” she told him in front of the officiating priest and the handful of people in the chapel.

Her prayer to God is for Him to separate them “kapag kukunin na Niya tayo.”

Ai Ai has no evidence that she is pregnant, even if her period has been delayed for 15 days.  But she’s bent on having Jed’s child,  even through in-vitro fertilization.

The comedienne apologized to friends whom she kept in the dark about her Las Vegas wedding, especially those her son Sancho had to lie to because she ordered him to hide the truth.

“Gusto ko sana maging para sa amin lang (ang kasal),” Ai Ai explained. “Maiksi lang itong kasal  na ito para (i-announce)  ko sa buong mundo.”
